One Church, One God, One Love
We meet as a community or group to worship God and to support one another. We share in the fullness of faith and Christian life together.
We welcome the opportunity to learn from God’s Word and from each other throughout our lives. Everyone has something to offer from their experience, and we all have room to grow in faith. Each individual journey is different, but we travel and learn together.
We encourage discovering more about God from diverse viewpoints. We recognise that this will sometimes lead to change that we may find difficult, but in God’s name we are willing to risk our comfort.
We shall love God with all our heart and with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength” We will use our time, energy, talents and resources to keep God's commandments and to share the Good News.
We proclaim God’s love to everyone as shown through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We aim to:
We seek to develop caring relationships and share each others needs and burdens. We aim to provide opportunities for individuals to develop their spiritual gifts and service, to grow spiritually through prayer meetings, Bible study and fellowship.
We look to make our church community a place where every ability, age, capacity, ethnicity, faith, gender, neurodiversity, and sexuality knows that they are accepted. A welcoming place to all.
We will work within our local community to discover and respond to individual and shared needs in practical and prayerful ways. We seek to demonstrate God’s love for everyone through service and caring. Like God’s love, our services do not have physical, social, or cultural boundaries.
We will celebrate and support community groups who meet at our Church and those who further Christian values in the local community.
We recognise that each member of our congregation has different thoughts, gifts, and needs. We seek to create an environment where everyone is accepted, and their views are heard and valued.
We will support not only our ministers, local preachers and worship leaders who guide us in our Christian journey but also those volunteers who pledge their time and talents for the good of our Church.
We pledge to review this statement, our commitment to it and our programme of action based upon it. In all things we are called “to move forward together” as One Church, for One God and with One Love
